This is a paint on Glass done by Alexander Petrov. The camera used was an IMAX camera. Each one of these frames was painted in painstaking detail and then moved into a new frame, the last gone and only to be seen again as a single frame.

Clothed Figure II
Here are some sketches from my adventure today! Facebook | Clothed Figure II I must say that when I woke up this morning I was a little apprehensive about drawing in the studio again. I haven’t taken Clothed Figure (or many studio classes for that matter) since last fall. Things that I discovered: I am resilient and drawing, like anything, requires you to get reacquainted with your tools...

What time is it?
Well, it’s Fondue time of course! You can’t take a perfectly good Sunday and stop at the festival, you must bring the festival home and keep on celebrating the day! Brian and I heard a great band today called Three At Last. If you like Indigo Girls or Fleet Foxes then maybe you should check them out. I hope that everyone had or rather is having a wonderful Sunday out there! here is...

So little Space, so little time.
Well, it’s official. I am down to only 10 GB free on my HD with 120 TOT. So, how did this happen? Well, aside from music, pictures and animations and re-renders of my animations, I have used the whole lot. It is time to clean house baby! My Macbook told me that it wanted to be used only for work purposes only and that’s it! Sounds great to me :) I have five classes this fall:...

Motion Pictures and Television 105
This is really going to be an interesting class. First and foremost, it’s all analog. No DSLR, only SLR for the story boarding, so that should be fun…:P As for the “Video” (there is no video, but this is how we normal people know it) camera, we will be using a Kinoflex Super8mm Film Camera. SO old skool! I am hoping to learn about good composition on the screen, but I guess...

Illustration I
Wow! Illustration is really exciting! Today I got to work with a quill pen and utilized the value scale. It reminded me a lot of Color and Design, but now we are able to use storytelling elements to engage to viewer. I got to have a chat with Chuck Pyle and talk with my old clothed figure teacher. It is so good seeing all of the faculty again. They are all very inspirational to me and my desire to...

Tomorrow I start Illustration I and we are getting to use Gouache. I am actually really excited to start into some drawing classes again, Maya really burned me out, so this is a welcome change. Tomorrow afternoon I will also be starting The Gulf Oil Spill Project painting. I have the composite done, so I have a firm foundation for my proportions and a fairly good understanding of the color. So,...

The Weekend Happenings
This weekend we partied southern style! I went out and saw my aunt in Scotland Neck, NC and went on a trail ride. I arrived on thursday evening after my drive down to Oak Island to deliver a painting and from there drove to Scotland Neck. It was all of about an 8 hour trip, but it was a lot of fun with my sissy. Thursday night, Calzones were just awesome with a greek salad and a nice Kendell...

Good Morning NC!
Today I am going to finish touching up a painting for my friend and have it delivered (hopefully) tomorrow. The weather outside is a little cloudy, but I like it because it isn’t 95 degrees hot! I can’t say that the humidity is all bad, but it does get to be a problem when you have gotten yourself spiffed up to go out and you are drenched in sweat…lol. My sister and I are going...

Raleighwood
Wow. I love Raleigh. The people are nice, the roads are hilly and fun to drive. I see Chargrill, and have to say to myself, “I remember the good ole’ days.” Lake Johnson, Lake Lynn, Umsted, all are SO close to my heart. I love this little city of Oaks.

Wilmy was just lovely.
Well, I had a great time hanging out by the pool yesterday and gettin’ a little sun. The walk around the loop last night made me realize just how happy I was to be from a state where people still say hello and greet you with a smile.

SFO people watching
At the start of my travels to the East, I am drinking Cozy Chamomile tea and people watching. Why is it when you fly the red eye, you have to calm your mind and force yourself to sleep on the plane. No good, restful sleep ever came from a plane ride. Brian, enjoy the OMF and kisses and hugs. These are my thoughts. That is all.

Website is done and now I am off on a Jet Plane!
Get ready NC, I am up and out this evening from SFO and I am ready to see my peeps! I am flying Jet Blue, so that should be fun and interesting. Follow me on 4Sq. if you guys are interested to see all of the fun places that I end up while I am off on my little Journey (the link is under contacts on my website) See you all very soon! Stacey P. The Canon 7D is a masterpiece.
Once again, I have been wooed by technology. The Canon 7D is a technology work of art that not only looks capable, but most certainly is. I am, for once, excited to pick up the two manuals and learn the functions and start shooting still footage.

Today. Today. Today.
Today is going to be one of those days where I am playing catch-up when I wake up. If the UPS man had brought the camera on Friday, I wouldn’t have to wait so long to get my lip sync completed before Tuesday. Armature + lip sync is due first thing tomorrow. I think I am pulling the night shift.

Homework. It has taken over my life.
To get to be an Animator of any degree, you have to take your lumps. I consider homework that has no animation involved to be lumps. I am almost to the point of falling out of my chair with excitement. :K
